2002년 미국 하원의원 선거는 2002년 11월 5일 조지 W. 부시 대통령의 첫 임기 중간에 치러졌다.공화당 대통령 시절 중간선거였지만 공화당은 8석을 얻어 과반 의석을 굳혔다.11 [1]테러 이후 대통령 정당에 대한 지지가 높아졌기 때문 아니냐는 관측도 나온다.

이번 선거는 현직 대통령의 정당이 상하 양원에서 의석을 늘린 두 번의 중간 선거 중 하나였다(다른 중간선거는 1934년).1814년, 1822년, 1902년, 1934년, 1998년에 이어 6번째 중간선거로 1978년 이후 유일하게 대통령당이 하원을 장악하게 됐다.

2022년 현재, 이것은 민주당이 낸시 펠로시가 이끌지 않은 가장 최근의 선거이다.
