사우스 서머셋(South Sommerset)은 영국 서머셋에 있는 지방 자치구다.

사우스 서머셋 지구는 데본, 윌트셔, 도르셋과의 국경에서부터 서머셋 레벨의 가장자리까지 370 평방 마일(958km2)[2]의 면적을 차지하고 있다. 인구는 약 158,000명이다.[3] 그 지역의 행정 중심지는 여빌이다.

이 지역은 1974년 4월 1일에 형성되었으며, 원래 여빌로 알려졌으며, 1985년에 현재의 명칭을 채택하였다. 여빌 샤드의 시 자치구와 크루커네, 일민스터 시가지구, 차드 농촌구, 랭포트 농촌구, 윈칸톤 농어촌구, 여빌 농어촌구 등이 합쳐져 형성되었다.

이 지역은 여빌 선거구의 전체와 소머턴과 프로메의 일부를 차지한다. 이 지역은 2019년 남서머셋 구의회 선거에서 마지막으로 선출된 남서머셋 구의회가 관할한다.
