기능. 센트로미어 단백질 B는 센트로미어 형성을 촉진하는 고도로 보존된 단백질이다. 포고 DNA 트랜스포존 계열의 트랜스포사아제로부터 파생된 DNA 결합 단백질이다. N 말단에 나선-루프-나선 DNA 결합 모티브, C 말단에 이합체화 도메인을 포함한다. DNA 결합 도메인은 중심체 알파 위성 DNA에서 17-bp 배열(CENP-B 박스)을 인식하고 결합합니다. 이 단백질은 상간핵과 유사분열 염색체의 특정 동원체 구조의 조립에 중요한 역할을 하도록 제안되었다. 또한 항중심미어 항체를 가진 환자로부터 혈청에 의해 인식되는 주요 동원체 자가항원으로 간주된다.
