Born은 달의 동쪽 가장자리 근처에 위치한 달 충돌 분화구로, 유명한 분화구 Langrenus의 북동쪽에 위치해 있다.그것은 1979년 IAU에 의해 명명되기 전에 이전에 Maclaurin Y로 지정되었다.[1]마클로린 자체가 북쪽에 놓여 있다.

이 분화구는 원형이며 일반적으로 컵 모양이며, 중앙점에서 북동쪽 림 쪽으로 어두운 부분이 뻗어 있다.그렇지 않으면 구별이 안 된다.
