브루워는 달의 저편에 있는 남반구에 위치한 커다란 달 충돌 분화구다.브루워의 서쪽 테두리를 침범하는 것은 더 젊고 다소 작은 분화구 랑무어이다.동남동쪽으로는 더 큰 담이 있는 평원 블랙켓이 있다.

이것은 그 후의 충격으로 인해 심하게 마모된 테두리를 가진 오래된 분화구 형성물이다.동쪽과 북쪽으로 이어지는 테두리 부분은 여전히 불규칙한 지형에서 추적할 수 있지만, 남쪽 테두리 부분은 거의 완전히 해체되어 있다.내부 바닥은 남동쪽 반쪽이 거칠고, 북서쪽까지는 다소 더 평평하고 덜 거칠다.분화구 중간 지점의 남동쪽에 놓여 있는 것은 위성 분화구 브루워 H. 만약 바닥이 한때 중앙 봉우리를 가지고 있었다면, 마지막으로 언급된 이 대형에 의해 중첩되었을지도 모른다.
