아베는 달의 저편에 있는 남반구에 위치한 달 충돌 분화구다.헤스 분화구 바로 남쪽에 위치해 있으며, 성벽이 있는 큰 분지 푸앵카레 동쪽에 놓여 있다.독일의 물리학자 에른스트 아베의 이름을 따서 지은 것이다.

아베 외벽은 북서쪽과 남서쪽 림마루에 작은 분화구가 가로놓여 있어 다소 침식되어 있다.내부 바닥은 표면이 몇 개의 작은 분화구가 표시되어 있어 비교적 평탄하다.

위성 분화구

관례에 따라 이러한 특징들은 달 지도에서 압베에 가장 가까운 분화구 중간 지점의 측면에 글자를 배치함으로써 확인된다.
