잉겔핑거 규칙
Ingelfinger rule과학 출판에서 1969년 인겔핑거 규칙은 원래 뉴잉글랜드 저널 오브 메디신(NEJM)이 다른 곳이나 다른 매체나 다른 저널에 게재된 연구 결과를 발표하지 않도록 규정했다.그 규칙은 이후 몇몇 다른 과학 학술지에 의해 채택되었고, 그 이후로 과학 출판이 형성되었다.[1]역사적으로 그것은 또한 저널의 내용이 신선하고 이전에 다른 곳에서 보고된 내용을 복제하지 않도록 하는 데 도움을 주었으며,[2] 과학적인 금수 제도를 보호하려고 노력한다.[3]
잉겔핑거의 규칙은 작가들이 그들의 출판 기록을 지나치게 부풀릴 수 있는 중복 출판물을 하는 것을 막기 위한 목적으로 보여져 왔다.[4]한편, 잉글핑거 통치의 진짜 이유는 저널의 수익 흐름을 보호하기 위해서라고도 명시되어 있으며, arXiv, bioRxiv, HAL 등 프리프린트 서버의 인기가 높아지면서 많은 저널들이 잉글핑거 통치에 관한 요건을 완화하였다.[6]이 정책을 옹호하면서, 이 저널은 사설에서, 이 관행이 과학자들이 그들의 연구가 동료들 사이에서 검토되기 전에 언론과 대화하는 것을 그만두게 했다고 말했다.[7]
이 규칙은 1969년에 이를 공표한 NEJM 편집장인 프란츠 J. 잉겔핑거의 이름을 따서 명명되었다.이전 버전의 정책은 1960년에 물리 리뷰 레터의 편집자인 새뮤얼 구스미트에 의해 표현되었지만 잘 알려지지 않았다.[8]
