68kDa의 센트로솜 단백질은 CEP68 ^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]유전자에 의해 인체에서 암호화되는 단백질이다.CEP68은 중심체 응집력을 위해 필요하다.그것은 중심부의 근위단으로부터 나오는 섬유들을 장식한다.유사분열 중에 CEP68은 중심체와 분리된다.CEP68과 루틀레틴은 중심결합을 위해 서로 의존하며 ^[9]둘 다 기능을 위해 CEP250을 필요로 한다.
