'붉은 10월'은 2018년 9월 24일 필리핀군(AFP)이 발표한 음모설로, 축출 음모의 배후에는 필리핀 공산당(CPP)과 자유당(LP) 등 야당, 틴디그 필리피나스의 합당이 있다고 밝힌 바 있다.[3]그 연루에 대해 언급되고 있는 야당 중 한 명은 마리아 루르데스 세레노 대법원장을 축출하고 나서 대통령의 축출이나 해임을 부인한 것이다.[4][5]로브레도는 2018년 9월 25일 성명을 내고 반대파와 축출 음모를 연계하는 것은 계엄령 당시 사용된 전술이며 근거 없는 주장이라고 주장했다.[3]그녀와 안토니오 트릴레인스 상원의원은 음모의 개입을 부인했다.[6]필리핀 경찰은 그 음모를 의심했다.[7]마카바얀 블록은 다음 달 대규모 집회를 열 것임을 인정하면서도 음모에 가담한 사실을 부인했다.[8]실베스트르 벨로 3세 노동고용부 장관은 이 음모는 단지 소문일 뿐이라며 두테르테 대통령이 국민의 강력한 지지를 받고 있어 대통령을 축출하는 것은 불가능하다고 덧붙였다.[9]

9월 25일 NBI와 필리핀군은 리잘주 테레사의 한 농가를 급습해 중국 국적의 릴리 옹을 체포하고 고칼리 총을 압수했다.[5]페르디난드 라빈 NBI 대변인에 따르면 이들은 옹과 몰수된 총기가 신인민군(NPA)과 연결돼 있다는 것을 증명하는 증거는 물론 '붉은 10월' 음모를 꾸몄다고 한다.[5]그러나 AFP 대변인인 에드가르드 아레발로는 옹이 반란단체와 연계돼 있으며 이 농가를 NPA 회원들의 은신처로 사용했다고 말했다.[5]

"비코이" 비디오

2019년 4월 3일 유튜브에 '토퉁 나르코 리스트'라는 계정에서 로드리고 두테르테 현 필리핀 대통령의 아들 파올로 두테르테가 범죄조직으로부터 돈을 받고 처남의 동생을 거래에 더미로 사용한 혐의로 고발하는 영상이 잇따라 올라왔다.[13]영상에는 자신을 '비코이'라고 부르는 후드가 된 인물이 마약 조직에서 일했다고 주장하는 모습과 '수수한 거래 기록'을 담고 있다.[13]그는 파올로 두테르테와 월도 카르피오(사라 두테르테의 남편 마나세 카르피오의 동생)가 소유한 것으로 추정되는 수백만 건의 은행 이체를 보여주는 문서를 제시한다.[13]영상 말미 '비코이'는 파올로에게 등에 용의 문신이 있다고 주장했다.[13]"타라"라고 불리는 "비코이"라는 문서가 보여진다 – "주임" 또는 마약 조직의 리더들에게 얼마나 많은 돈이 주어지는지 열거한 내부 문서를 제공한다."[14]

지난 5월 7일 안토니오 트릴레인스 상원의원과 게리 알레자노 막달로 대표는 제이미와의 유착 의혹을 부인했다.[27]5월 8일, 상원의 티토 소토 대통령은 2016년에 아빈쿨라 대통령이 당시 아퀴노 행정부 관리들을 상대로 똑같은 비난을 했다고 말했다.당시 베니그노 아키노 3세 대통령, 마르 록사스 내무장관, 레일라 데 리마 법무장관은 "콰드랑글 마약조직의 후원자"라고 주장했다.이에 앞서 2012년 애드빈쿨라에 따르면 그는 에스타파 혐의로 고소당해 징역 6년을 선고받았으나 4년 뒤 선량한 행동으로 석방됐다.[28]소토의 폭로에 따라 판필로 라크슨 상원의원은 애드빈쿨라의 혐의에 대한 상원 위원회 청문회를 취소했다.[29]IBP는 지난 5월 8일 두테르테와 고씨를 고소하기 위해 애드빈쿨라의 법적 지원 요청을 거절했다.[30]구에바라는 애빈쿨라에게 NBI에 항복하라는 최후통첩을 내렸으며 그렇지 않으면 제이미처럼 "침략에 가담"한 혐의를 받게 될 것이다.[31]

자유당 등 야당 의원들에 대한 '비코이' 의혹

5월 25일, 살바도르 패널로 대통령 대변인은 트릴라네스가 아드빈쿨라가 비디오 제작의 주모자로 그를 지목한 이후 곧 또 다른 수감생활을 하게 될 것이라고 말했다.[43]

지난달 27일 상원 청문회에서 필리핀 경찰(PNP)은 트릴레네스와 LP 회원들의 연루 의혹뿐 아니라 어드벤슐라의 주장에 대한 수사에 착수했다.[34]트릴리언스는 대통령 축출 혐의를 부인했다.[44]트릴라네스는 또 다른 사제들과 함께 2018년 8월 아드빈쿨라를 만났다고 밝혔다. 아드빈쿨라는 불법 마약 거래에 연루된 신디케이트들이 자신을 '액정'시키기 위해 그를 따라오자 교회로 피신하려 했다고 말했다.[44]그러나 애드빈쿨라의 이야기를 듣고 나서 그는 애드빈쿨라의 이야기에서 애매함을 발견하여 트릴라네스가 그것을 따로 떼어 놓게 했다.[45]2019년 2월까지 사제들은 그에게 다가가 마약조직의 은행거래가 담긴 것으로 추정되는 서류를 제시했다.[44][45]그러나 그는 국내 및 국제 단체의 검증을 기다리라고 조언했다.[45]유튜브에 '비코이' 동영상이 잇따라 등장할 무렵, 트릴레네스는 동영상 제작에 관여하지 않았다고 부인하던 당시 해외에 있었다.[44][45][46]

두테르테 대통령은 2019년 4월 22일 자신에 대한 언론기관과 기자들의 불안정한 노력을 담은 도표 '음향 두테르테 매트릭스'를 일반에 공개했다.[62][63]축출 음모에 대한 자세한 내용은 마닐라 타임즈 명예회장 단테 앙에 의해 처음 출판되었다.[64]같은 날 살바도르 판노 대통령 대변인에 따르면 매트릭스의 출처는 두테르테 대통령 자신이다.[62][65]매트릭스에 포함된 단체로는 베라 파일의 엘렌 토르데시야스, 온라인 뉴스 사이트 래플러, 필리핀 수사 저널리즘 센터(PCIJ), 변호사 단체인 전국인민변호사연합(NUPL) 등이 있는데 이들은 모두 두테르테 행정부에 매우 중요하다.[64][66][67]두테르테 일가의 마약조직에 연루된 혐의를 받고 있는 바이코이(Bikoy)라는 이름도 포함돼 있다.[64][68]말라카냥은 축출 음모에 꼬리표를 붙인 언론을 고발하지 않을 것이라고 말했다.[65]필리핀 국군과 필리핀 경찰은 두테르테를 축출하기 위한 확실한 음모를 발견하지 못했다고 밝혔다.[69]두테르테 대통령의 딸 사라 두테르테도 매트릭스의 진위성과 정확성에 의문을 표시했다.[70]

그 도표는 수많은 인사의 비판을 받았다.[79][75][80]매트릭스에 포함된 히들린 디아즈는 다가오는 도쿄 2020 올림픽을 준비하면서 이름 포함을 비판했다.[81]디아즈는 로델 제이미의 지인을 부인했다.[82]호씨는 자신의 이름을 보고 놀랐으며 '폭발'이라고 볼 수 있는 보도가 아닌 라이프스타일과 스포츠에 대한 보도를 주로 집중한다고 말했다.[81]매트릭스에 이름을 올린 단체와 기자들도 이를 비판했다.그들은 이 매트릭스가 마약과의 전쟁을 비판해 온 기자들과 단체에 대한 궁중의 괴롭힘이었다고 주장한다.[67][83][84]마리아 레사(Maria Ressa)도 이와 비슷한 성명을 내고 이 매트릭스를 "기자들을 괴롭히기 위한 또 다른 궁전 책략"[67]이라고 불렀다.

판노가 이 도표를 들고 있는 사진이 2019년 필리핀 상원의원 선거 당시 야당 후보들을 지지하는 밈으로 바뀌었다.그는 공식 성명을 통해 "흑색선전과 정치적 음해 행위에 대한 자신의 이미지를 악의적으로 이용한 것"이라고 비난했다.[85]
