미로탐누스는 열대 아프리카 남부와 마다가스카르에 있는 두 종의[3] 작은 황엽 관목으로 구성된 꽃식물 속이다.미로탐누스는 미로탐누스과의 유일한 속주로 인정받고 있다.

크론퀴스트 계통의 하마멜리달레스 순서에 미로탐나과가 포함되었다.[4]분자 체계적 연구에서는 미로탐누스가 하마멜리과나 그 순서에 포함된 다른 어떤 가문과는 밀접한 관계가 있는 것이 아니라 오히려 군네라와 밀접한 관계가 있다는 것을 시사했다.APG II 체계(2003)에서 속은 군네르과 또는 선택적으로 인정된 분리과인 마이로탐나과에 할당된다.[5]APG III 시스템(2009년)과 APG IV 시스템(2016년)에서는 좁은 할례를 선호하며, 이 두 가문은 구별되는[1][6] 것으로 간주된다.
