때때로 영웅들의 춤이라고 불리는 인토레는 [2]르완다에서 남자들이 하는 전통적인 춤이다. 여성들은 그렇게 하는 것이 허용되지 않는다.[3]
식민지 이전 시대에 인토레는 투치 군이 공연한 전쟁무용이었다.[4] 댄스 넘버들은 종종 전쟁을 주제로 했고, 공연하는 사람들은 실제 무기를 가지고 다녔다. 오늘날의 인토어 댄서들은 실제 무기를 소지하지 않고 대신 복제품을 사용한다.[5] 현재는 가족 모임, 르완다 국가 행사 등 각종 기념행사와 공공의식에서 공연되고 있다.[6]
잠재적인 댄서들은 신체적, 도덕적 속성에 기초하여 선택된다. 그들이 공연을 하기 전에, 인토레 댄서들은 훈련을 받고, 그곳에서 그들은 춤의 단계와 도덕적 가치를 배운다.[7]
