하마멜리달레스는 1968년과 1988년에 발표된 크롱퀴스트 시스템을 포함하여 식물 분류학의 여러 시스템에서 이전에 받아들여졌던 꽃식물 순서다. 이 순서는 현재 식물 분류학의 Angiosperm Phylogeny 그룹 III 시스템에서는 받아들여지지 않고 있는데, 이는 분자 체계 연구로 가장 널리 받아들여진 시스템으로서 이들 가족이 서로 밀접하게 연관되어 있지 않다는 것을 시사하고 있다.[1][2] APG II 시스템(2003)은 그것들을 여러 가지 다른 주문에 할당한다: 하마멜리과와 케르키디필라과에서 작시프라갈레스로, 에프텔레과에서 라눈쿨레스로, 플라타나과에서 프로테알레스로, 그리고 미로탐나과에서 군네랄레스로.[2] 엽록체 게놈에 대한 추가 연구는 그 이후 색시가르갈레스로 이주한 가족들이 밀접한 관련이 있다는 것을 확인했다.[3]
크론퀴스트 시스템(1981)에는 다음과 같은 할례와 함께 하위급 하마멜과(Hamamamelae)의 주문이 포함되었다.
