땅덩어리, 또는 땅덩어리바다에 의해 나뉘지 않고 한 조각으로 된 넓은 지역이나 땅의 면적을 말합니다.[1][2]이 용어는 종종 대륙이나 섬과 같이 바다나 바다로 둘러싸인 땅을 가리킬 때 사용됩니다.[3][4]지질학 분야에서, 대륙괴는 해수면 위로 뻗어있는 대륙 지각의 정의된 부분입니다.[5]

대륙은 종종 별개의 대륙 덩어리로 간주되며, 관련 대륙붕의 일부인 섬을 포함할 수도 있습니다.여러 대륙이 하나의 연속적인 육지 연결을 형성하는 경우 연결된 대륙은 하나의 대륙으로 볼 수 있습니다.지구에서 가장 큰 땅덩어리는 다음과 같습니다.[6][7][8]

  3. 남극 대륙(지리 지역의 주요 대륙과 동명 대륙)
  4. 오스트레일리아 본토(오세아니아 지역의 주요 대륙, 그 하위 지역인 오스트랄라시아, 오스트레일리아 대륙오스트레일리아 국가)
