혈장 글루타티온 페록시디아제(GPx-P) 또는 세포외 글루타티온 페록시디아제(GPx-3)로도 알려진 글루타티온 페록시디아제 3(GPx-3)는 인간에서 GPX3유전자에 의해 암호화된 효소다.[5][6][7]
GPx-3는 과산화수소의 해독에 기능하는 글루타티온 과산화효소과에 속한다.활성 부위의 셀레노시스테인(Sec) 잔류물을 함유하고 있다.셀레노시스테인은 UGA 코돈에 의해 암호화되는데, 보통은 번역 종료를 알리는 신호다.3'sec 함유 유전자의 UTR은 공통의 줄기-루프 구조인 sec 삽입 시퀀스(SECIS)를 가지고 있는데, 이는 UGA를 정지 신호가 아닌 sec 코돈으로 인식하는 데 필요하다.[5]
