초년기

클레어 토리는 1947년 11월 메리본에서[1] 플리트 에어 암에서 중위와 RAF에서 비행중위로 경력을 결합한 제프리 네이피어 토리(1916~1979)와 6명의 BBC 국장 비서였던 아내 도로시 W 싱어(1916~2017) 사이에서 태어났다.

경력

Torry has also performed as a session singer (singing on a number of 1970s UK TV adverts) and as a live backing vocalist with Kevin Ayers, Olivia Newton-John, Shriekback, The Alan Parsons Project (for which she also sang lead vocal on one track on their 1979 Eve album), Procol Harum mainman Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher, Cerrone, Meat Loaf (a duet o"Nowhere Fast"라는 곡과 히트 싱글 "Modern Girl"인 조니 머서, 그리고 "Doctors of Madgine"이라는 곡이 있다.

Torry is also credited on the 1987 album En Dejlig Torsdag (A Lovely Thursday) by the Danish pop rock band TV-2, where she sings in a fashion similar to that on "The Great Gig in the Sky" at the end of the tracks "Stjernen I Mit Liv" ("The Star in my Life") and "I Baronessens Seng" ("In the Bed of the Baroness").[7]

Although most details of the case are secret, the Daily Telegraph has reported the singer secured a cash payment with Pink Floyd and their label, EMI.
