이 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질은 P형 양이온 운반 ATPase 계열에 속합니다.이 유전자는 플라즈마막을 가로지르는 H와⁺ K 이온의 교환과⁺ 결합된 ATP의 가수분해를 촉매하는 와베인 감수성⁺ H/K-ATPase의⁺ 촉매 서브유닛을 암호화한다.또한 다양한 조직에서 ^[6]칼륨 흡수를 담당합니다.
