아미노아실라아제-1은 아실화L-아미노산의 L-아미노산 및 아실기로의 가수분해를 촉매하는 세포질, 호모다이머, 아연결합효소이며 아실화아미노산의 이화 및 인양에 기능하는 것으로 가정되어 있다.ACY1은 소세포 폐암(SCLC)에서 호모 접합으로 감소된 영역인 3p21.1 염색체에 할당되었으며, SCLC 세포주와 종양에서 그 발현이 감소하거나 검출되지 않는 것으로 보고되었다.인간 아미노아실라아제-1의 아미노산 배열은 돼지 성분에 매우 상동성이 있으며, ACY1은 새로운 아연 결합 [7]효소군의 첫 번째 구성원이다.
