특수작전사령부(SOCOMD)는 2003년 5월 5일 모든 호주군 특수부대를 통합하기 위해 창설된 호주 방위군사령부이다.[3][4][5]호주의 특수작전사령부는 호주의 함대,[3] 공군사령부와 동등한 지위를 가지고 있다.그것은 미국과 영국군의 동등한 지휘부를 모델로 하고 특수작전사령관 호주(SOCAST)로서 소장이 지휘한다.
