실리콘 그라눌로마스는 액체 실리콘에 대한 반응으로 발생하는 피부 질환으로 결절이 형성되는 것이 특징이다.[1]: 46
과립종 형성은 다양한 이물에 대한 일반적인 조직 반응이다.실리콘은 미용 시술의 일부로 조직에 직접 주입되거나 실리콘 임플란트에서 누출될 수 있다.실리콘으로 유도된 그라눌로마의 형성과 결과는 잘 설명되거나 이해되지 않는다.그들이 초래하는 피해의 정도는 논란의 여지가 있다.[2]

영향들
실리콘에 의한 과립종은 발열,[12] 석회화성 고칼륨혈증,[13] 반응성 아밀로이드증 등과 연관될 수 있다.[14][15][16]
