미엘린 P2 단백질은 인간에게 PMP2 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[5][6][7]미엘린 단백질 P2는 말초신경계(PNS) 미엘린의 성분으로, 중추신경계(CNS) 미엘린에도 소량으로 존재한다.구조 단백질로서 P2는 골수막의 안정화를 위해 생각되며, 슈완 세포의 지질 이동에 역할을 할 수도 있다.구조적으로 P2는 세포질 지방산 결합 단백질(FABPs) 계열에 속한다.
