케이프지오는 미국의 댄스 슈즈, 의류, 액세서리 제조업체인 케이프지오 발레 메이커스사의 상명이다.
역사
1887년 미국으로 이주한 이탈리아의 코블러 살바토레 카피지오는 뉴욕시의 옛 메트로폴리탄 오페라 하우스 근처에 구두 수선점을 열었다.[1] 그는 메트족을 위해 연극용 신발을 수리하는 것으로 사업을 시작했으며, 비상시에 폴란드 테너 장 드 레스케를 위해 구두를 만들 때 코블러에서 제화공으로 전환했다. 그의 가게는 곧 무용수들의 모임 장소가 되었고, 무용수들은 그들의 필요성에 대해 의논하고 신발을 구입했다.
