MMPIP는 메타보틱성 글루탐산 수용체 서브타입 mGluR의7 선택적 길항제 역할을 하는 과학연구에 사용되는 약물이다.[1]이 수용체 아형은 뇌의 코카인에 대한 다운스트림 반응에 관여하는 것으로 보인다.[2]
