홍콩 영화상은 홍콩 영화상(HKFA)에서 매년 시상하는 상이다.홍콩 영화에서 뛰어난 연기를 보여준 여배우를 기리기 위해 주어진다.[Note 1]제1회 홍콩영화상 시상식은 1982년 공식 지명 절차가 마련되지 않은 채 열렸으며, 이 상은 카라 후이가 My Young Tomorie에서 연기한 공로로 수여되었다.[1]첫 번째 시상식이 끝난 후에는 각 부문별로 5명 이내의 지명도를 부여하고, 2차에 걸친 투표를 통해 각 입후보자를 선정하는 공천제를 시행했다.우선, 예비 후보자들은 HKFA 유권자와 100명의 전문 심판관으로부터 각각 50%의 가중치를 부여받아 상위 5명의 후보자들이 2차 투표에 진출하는 최종 점수에 기여한다.그 후, 55명의 전문 심사 위원으로부터 투표의 55%가, 홍콩 공연 예술인 길드 대표로부터 25%, 그리고 다른 모든 HKFA 집행 위원들로부터 20%가 투표하는 채점 과정을 통해 수상자를 선정한다.[2]
