Alice Oswald

앨리스 프리실라 라일 오스왈드(Née Kin; 1966년 출생)는 버크셔 주 리딩 출신의 영국 시인이다. 그녀의 작품은 2002년 T. S. 엘리엇상, 2017년 그리핀 시상을 수상했다.[1][2] 2017년 9월 달짓 나기라의 뒤를 이어 BBC 라디오 4의 두 번째 '시인-인-레지던트'에 이름을 올렸다.[3] 2019년 10월 1일, 그녀는 옥스퍼드 시학 교수 자리에 올랐다.[4]

전기

오스왈드는 찰스 윌리엄 라일 킨과 프리실라 메리 로즈 커존의 딸로, 6대 백작 에드워드 커존의 딸이다.[5][6] 오스왈드는 옥스포드주 뉴 칼리지에서 클래식을 읽었다. 그 후 그녀는 정원사로 훈련했고 첼시 피리 가든, 위슬리, 클루벨리 코트 가든과 같은 곳에서 일했다.[7] 그녀는 현재[when?] 남편인 극작가 피터 오스왈드(역시 훈련된 고전주의자)와 세 자녀와 함께 데본의 다트링턴 에스테이트에 살고 있다. 앨리스 오스왈드는 배우 윌 킨과 작가 로라 비티의 여동생이자 킨의 딸 다프네의 이모다.[8][9]
