UWG로 낙인찍힌 유니월드 그룹은 뉴욕 브루클린에 본사를 두고 있는 풀서비스 광고 대행사로 애틀랜타, 디트로이트, 마이애미, 로스앤젤레스에 위성 사무소를 두고 있다.[4][5] 1969년 설립된 미국 내 최장수 다문화 광고 대행사다.[6][7][8] 2014년 이 회사는 UWG로 브랜드를 변경했다.[9][10]

역사

유니월드 그룹은 잠재력이 널리 인정되기 전에 다문화 광고의 개념을 개척한 바이런 루이스에 의해 1969년에 설립되었다.[11][12][13] 이 회사의 첫 번째 업적 중 하나는 1971년 영화 "블랙스플로팅"의 마케팅 캠페인에 대한 구상이었다. 이 회사는 블랙파워의 미사여구를 이용해 샤프트를 대중화한 공로를 인정받았다.[14][15][16]
