DNA 중합효소 델타 및 DNA 중합효소 엡실론의한 프라이밍 DNA 템플릿의 연장은 세포핵항원(PCNA)과 복제인자 C(RFC)를 증식시키는 보조단백질을 필요로 한다.RFC(액티베이터 1이라고도 함)는 140, 40, 38, 37 및 36kD의 5개의 서로 다른 서브유닛으로 이루어진 단백질 복합체입니다.이 유전자는 37kD 서브유닛을 암호화한다.이 서브유닛은 36kDa 서브유닛과 40kDa 서브유닛과 코어복합체를 형성한다.코어 복합체는 체외 시스템에서 PCNA에 의해 자극되는 것으로 확인된 DNA 의존성 ATP효소 활성을 가지고 있다.동일한 단백질을 코드하는 대체적으로 스플라이스된 전사 변이가 [6]보고되었다.
