랜스 배스, 성에가 낀 팁을 가진 남자의 예
서리가 내린 팁은 머리를 짧게 자르고 헤어젤이나 헤어스프레이로 짧은 스파이크로 형성되는 남성 헤어스타일을 말한다. 머리카락은 표백되어 있어서 각 스파이크의 끝부분은 보통 착용자의 주요 머리 색깔과 대조적으로 옅은 금발일 것이다.[1]
1990년대 후반과 2000년대 초반에 걸쳐 서리가 내린 팁이 두드러졌다.[2][3]
서리가 내린 팁을 착용한 주목할 만한 사람들은 에디 게레로, 저스틴 버필드,[4] 랜스 베이스,[5] 스티븐 브래드베리,[6] 애런 카터,[7] 잭 에프론,[8] 가이 피에리,[9] 조 조나스,[10] 마크 맥그래스,[11] 저스틴 팀버레이크 등이다.[12]
다른 변종들, 예를 들어 반전 또는 "발톱" 팁과 같은 다른 변종도 존재하는데, 이 경우 짙은 하이라이트가 탈색을 많이 한 사람의 머리카락의 겔티드 끝단에 적용된다. 머리카락이 기본 '짧고 뾰족하게' 잘린 상태로 방치되면서 염색도 전혀 하지 않는 것이 일반적이다.
