2021년 5월 6일 잉글랜드 클리블랜드 주 하틀풀 하원의원 보궐선거가 실시되었다.이번 보궐선거는 [1]성추행 혐의로 사퇴한 마이크 힐 노동당 의원이 사퇴한 이후 촉발됐다.2021년 5월 6일 자치구의회, 티스밸리 시장, 클리블랜드 경찰청장 [2]선거와 함께 치러졌다.이 의석은 역사적으로 노동당을 지지했지만 보수당의 [3]지지도가 높아짐에 따라 당이 도전을 받고 있는 선거구 집합인 "적벽"의 일부이다.

배경

선거구

같은 이름의 마을의 이름을 딴 하틀풀은 1964년부터 노동당에 의해 개최되어 왔다.좌석에는 하틀풀 마을 자체와 인근 마을인 하트, 엘윅, 그레이트햄, 뉴턴 뷰리, 달튼 피어시가 포함된다.

전직 하원의원 중에는 영국 해군 장교인 존 케란스와 전직 각료였던 피터 만델슨이 [9]포함되어 있다.

2004년 보궐선거에서는 자유민주당에 큰 변화가 있었고, 영국 독립당은 2015년 총선에서 근소한 차이로 2위를 차지했다.
