제116회 미국 의회에서 위스콘신 제7의회 선거구의 남은 임기를 채우기 위한 특별 선거가 실시되었다.현직 대표인 션 더피는 아내가 심장질환으로 [1]아이를 낳기 직전인 2019년 9월 23일 사임 선언을 했다.토니 에버스 주지사는 2020년 1월 27일을 특별 선거일로 선택했으며,[2] 예비선거는 2019년 12월 30일로 예정되어 있다.그러나 에버스 주지사는 연방법 위반이라는 통보를 받고 해외와 군부 유권자들이 투표할 시간이 부족하다는 이유로 2020년 2월 18일 예비선거와 2020년 [3][4]5월 12일 총선거로 일정을 조정했다.
