팀파니 협주곡

Timpani concerto

팀파니 협주곡은 관현악이나 밴드 반주로 팀파니를 위해 작곡한 곡이다.보통 세 부분이나 동작으로 되어 있다.

최초의 팀파니 협주곡은 바로크와 클래식 음악 시대에 작곡되었다.이들 시대의 중요한 협주곡으로는 요한 피셔의 8인조 교향곡과 게오르크 드러셰츠키의 6인조 협주곡 등이 있다.낭만주의 시대에는 팀파니 협주곡은 대체로 무시되었다.팀파니 협주곡은 20세기에 부활하여 팀파니 협주곡 레퍼토리가 크게 늘어났다.

팀파니 협주곡 설정 범위는 보통 4(32", 29", 26", 23")부터 16+ 드럼까지이며, 일부는 20"보다 작거나 32"보다 크다.
