샌디 레인은 바베이도스 섬의 홀레타운과 페인즈 만과 가까운 고급 5성급[2][3][4] 비치프론트 리조트다.[5] 샌디 레인은 1961년 영국 정치인 출신인 로널드 트리에 의해 설탕 재배지였던 곳에 고급 호텔과 골프장으로 문을 열었다.[6] 1998년 그라나다 plc에 의해 호텔이 매물로 나왔고, J. P. 맥마누스, 더못 데스몬드, 존 매그니어 등 아일랜드 사업가 5명이 매입했다. 원래의 리조트는 3년 4억 5천만 달러의 업그레이드와 개보수 작업으로 철거되었다.[6][7]

113개의 객실과 스위트룸은 물론 객실 5개짜리 빌라, 4만7000평방피트(4400m2)의 스파, 레스토랑 4개, 바 7개, 골프장 3개 등이 들어선다.

샌디 레인은 카리브해에서 가장 멋지고 가족 친화적인 호텔 중 하나일 뿐만 아니라 부유하고 유명한 사람들의 안식처로 알려져 있다. 샌디 레인 호텔에 머물렀다고 전해진 과거 손님으로는 마리아 캘라스, 안드레아 코르(공동소유주 더못 데스몬드의 며느리), T. S. 엘리엇, 재클린 케네디, 아리스토텔레스 오나시스, 마이클 위너, 사이먼 코웰, 로빈 반 페르시, 시드니 포이티에[8] 등이 있다.
