LSE Cities

LSE 시티스는 런던 경제 정치학 대학의 연구 센터다.[1]

중심의 목적은,[2]과 교육하다 해당 및 임원 postgraduate[3]에서 과학자들과 임원들의 새로운 세대들 훈련을 어떻게 사람들과 도시들이 급격하게 urbanising 세계에서, 사회, 문화 그리고 환경에 어떻게 도시의 물리적 형태와 디자인의 영향에 대한 초점을 맞추고 상호 작용하는 지식과, 이해를 높이는 것이다.programmes.[4] 13년 된 도시시대 프로젝트는[5] 이 센터의 주요 홍보 요소다. 도시의 물리적, 사회적 상호연결 방식에 대한 이 국제적인 조사는 델리,[6] 리우데자네이루, 런던, 홍콩, 이스탄불, 상파울루, 뭄바이, 멕시코시티, 요하네스버그, 베를린, 상하이, 뉴욕시 등 4개 대륙 13개 도시에서 회의를 열었다. 2010년 도시 재정비 후 경제 건전성을 조사한 이 회의는 시카고의 브루킹스 연구소와 공동 주최하였다.[7] 2016년 제15회 베네치아[8] 국제건축박람회의 일환으로 개최된 콘퍼런스는 오는 2018년 11월 아디스아바바에서 개최될 예정이다.[9] 어반 에이지(Urban Age)는 도이체방크의 알프레드 헤르하우젠 게셀샤프트(Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft)와 공동으로 조직된다.[10]

이 센터의 주요 연구 활동은 세 개의 연구 단위로 나뉜다.[11]

Ricky Burdett은 LSE City의 감독이다.[12] 필립 로드가 전무이사를 맡고 있다.[13][14]

교육

이 센터는 MSc, 박사학위, 임원 교육을 제공한다.[15] 시티디자인과 사회과학의 MSc는 실제적인 스튜디오 기반 구성요소를 가지고 있기 때문에 LSE 내에서 독특하다.[16] 또한 2016년 현재 18개월 동안 시티에서 일하는 전문직[17] 종사자들을 위한 시간제 MSc도 이용할 수 있다.[18] 어반 에이지와 블룸버그 자선단체 장학금은 지원자들에게 재정적 지원을 제공한다.[19] 센터는 2014년부터[20][21] 1주일간 "런던 및 글로벌 도시 - 거버넌스, 계획 및 디자인"[22]에 대한 교육 단기 과정을 개설했다.

행사 및 전시회

LSE 시티는 정기적으로 런던과 국제적으로 공개 강연, 세미나, 워크숍, 전시회 등 다양한 행사를 개최한다. 센터는 2015년 11월과 12월 가디언시티와[23] 손잡고 사회적 형평성, 도시기반시설 설계 등 5건의 공공행사가 포함된 '도시 10세 글로벌 토론회'를 진행했으며,[24] 가디언지에 게재된 기사와 함께 진행됐다.[25] 사회학자 사스키아 사센, 작가 수케투 메타, 건축가 노먼 포스터, 알레한드로 아라베나, 유엔 해비타트 전무이사인 조안 클로스 등이 참석했다.

이 센터는 또한 MIT 미디어 랩, U.C. 버클리 교통 지속가능성 연구 센터(TSRC), 베를린 사회과학 센터와 함께 2015년 MA 캠브리지에서 열린 '교란 모빌리티 서밋'과 같은 몇 가지 이벤트의 조직도 공동 이끌었다.[26] 또한 에콰도르[27] 키토에서 열린 2016년 10월 해비타트 III 회의에 대비해 도시 거버넌스, 역량, 제도적 발전에 관한 공동리디아 정책단과 공식 프로그램의 중심이었던 3개 도시회담 중 하나를 공동주최했다.[28][29]

2016년, 도시 시대 프로그램은 라 비엔날레 디 베네치아가 실현한 제15회 국제 건축 전시회에 출품된 세 가지 특별 프로젝트 중 하나를 선보였다.[30][31] '도시 시대의 갈등'이라는 제목의 이 전시회는 1990년부터 2015년까지 전 세계의 도시 동향을 살펴보고 2030년까지 세계가 50억 명의 도시 거주자를 수용할 수 있는 방법을 물었다. 2017년에는 베를린과[32][33][34] 2017 서울비엔날레 건축도시주의로 전시를 다녀왔다. 서울에서, 이 전시회는 도시 시대의[35][36] 역학으로 이름이 바뀌었다.

연구 및 주요 출판물

LSE 시티에서 다양한 출판물이 제작되었다.[37] 이 센터의 Urban Age 프로젝트는 리키 버데트와 데얀 수디치에 의해 편집된 두 권의 책을 출판하게 되었다. LSE City 연구원과 이사들의 학술 논문도 여러 편 발표되었다. Suzanne Hall이 주도하는 Normal Streets 프로젝트는 다양성, 이주, 도시 적응에 관한 많은 민족학 및 사회학 연구들을 만들어냈다.[51][52][53] 또한 펙햄의 려레인의[55] 생활과 지역 비즈니스의 내공을 살펴보는[54] 단편 영화에도 포착되어 남아공까지 확장되는 작품에 10만 파운드의 필립 레버헐므 상금을 안겨주었다.[56] 소비아 아흐마드 케이커와 오스틴 자이더맨이 공동 기획한 도시 불확실성 프로젝트의 연구 결과는 여러 학술지와 보고서에서 비슷하게 발표되었다.[57][58][59] 도시 거버넌스 연구소는 또한 존 D와 캐서린 T가 공동 출자한 [60]뉴 어번 거버넌스 프로젝트를 제작했다. 도시 거버넌스 조사를 특징으로 하는 맥아더 재단은 UN 해비타트, United City and Local Governments(UCLG)와 함께 발전하여 전 세계 지방 및 도시 정부의 기능과 역량에 대한 경험적 연구의 부족을 시정하고자 하였다.[61] 이 프로젝트에는 칸타르의 정보가 아름다운 상으로 선정되었으며, 데이터 시각화가 학문적, 학술적, 문화적, 사회적, 정치적 영역에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 자세히 설명하는 전용 웹사이트가[62] 포함되어 있다.[63]

수상 및 성과

2016~2018년 여왕기념대상은 LSE시티가 '미래도시와 전 세계 신세대 도시리더 양성, 연구, 정책 수립'에 대한 공로를 인정받아 수상했다.[64][65]

2018년 신년 영예식에서 리처드 세넷 교수는 설계용역에 대한 OBE를 받았다. LSE 시티의 Sennett의 자문 위원회 의장으로 도시 시대를 창립하는 데 기여했다.[66]

2017년 새해 영예에서는 리키 버셋 교수가 도시계획과 디자인에 대한 서비스를 위해 CBE로 위촉됐다. Burdett은 LSE 도시와 도시 시대의 감독이다.[67]

수잔 홀 도시 프로그램 국장은 필립 레버헐메 상(2017년)을 수상해 이 도시에 이주하는 방법에 대한 일반 거리 프로젝트를 남아프리카 케이프타운까지 확대했다.[68][69] 홀은 2017년에도 LSE교원상을 수상했다.[70]
