토착 과학
Indigenous science토착과학은 토착지식과 과학의 응용과 교차점이다.생태학에서는 이것을 전통적인 생태학적 [1][2][3]지식이라고 부르기도 한다.원주민 과학은 원주민 국가의 영토나 장소에 대한 전체적인 이해이다.그것은 (이에 한정되지 않고) 관찰,[4] 예측, 해석, 질문 등을 포함한 서양 과학의 동일한 방법을 따른다.
전통적이고 과학적인
토착 지식과 경험은 전통적으로 [5][6]대대로 구두로 전해져 왔다.토착과학의 개념은 모든 문화가 [7]그 자체의 과학과 세계에 대한 이해를 가지고 있다는 생각을 촉진한다.이 관점은 과학자와 정책 입안자들이 자연 과정의 [8][9]해석과 인간 관리를 위한 새로운 패러다임을 채택하기 위해 채택되어 왔다.원주민 과학과 과학 지식 사이에는 사용 및 구조에 차이가 있지만, 원주민 과학은 경험적 근거를 가지고 있으며 전통적으로 세계를 [10][11][12]예측하고 이해하는 데 사용되어 왔다.
생태학에서
토착 과학은 [13]연어 복원, 바다새 [14]수확 관리, 한타바이러스 [15]발생, [16]산불 대처 등을 포함한 생태학적 문제를 해결하는 데 도움을 주었다.
기타 과학 분야
기후학 연구는 [17][18]해빙의 장기적인 변화를 연구할 때 이누이트족의 전통적인 지식(카우지마자투캉깃)을 활용했다.
생태학뿐만 아니라, 토착 지식은 동물의 행동, 진화, 생리학, 생명사, 형태학, 야생동물 보존, 야생동물 건강,[19] 분류학을 포함한 생물학적 분야에서 사용되어 왔다.
