히스토리 TV18(옛 더 히스토리 채널)은 미국 역사 채널의 소유주인 A+E 네트워크와 인도 JV 미디어 그룹인 TV18이 합작으로 소유하고 있는 역사적 사건, 인포테인먼트 및 인물과 관련된 범인도 텔레비전 채널 방송 프로그램이다.[1][2] 인도 아대륙 전역에 걸쳐 풀HD로 5개 국어로 이용 가능하다.

역사

역사는 2003년 11월 30일 The History Channel로 처음 출범했다.[3] AETN 인터내셔널과 뉴스 코퍼레이션의 STAR가 자회사 NGC네트웍스를 통해 합작으로 출범했다. 2008년 11월 21일 AETN과 STAR의 계약이 만료됨에 따라, STAR는 Boy's Toys, Electric, Complic?, Crushes, Secret Agent, Breaking Vegas 같은 시리즈와 TV 영화 Marilyn과 Me 같은 시리즈를 방영했다. 그 채널은 폭스 히스토리 & 트래블러로, 당시 폭스 트래블러로 다시 브랜딩되었고 현재 인도에서 폭스 라이프로 이용 가능하다.

2011년 10월 9일, The History Channel은 A+E Networks와 TV18이 합작하여 History TV18로 인도에서 재출시되었다.[4]
