A&E는 2012년 2월 16일 목요일에 시작된 호주의 구독 텔레비전 채널이다.[1] A&E는 미국 상대 채널과 비슷한 '실생활' 콘텐츠에 초점을 맞춘 남성 편향 채널이다.[2] 2012년 2월 23일, 호주는 그들의 페이스북 페이지를 통해 2012년 2월 26일 일요일 A&E를 개시할 것이라고 발표했다.[3]

2016년 10월 5일 614번 채널에서 2시간짜리 타임시프트 채널이 개설되어 지금은 없어진 소호의 타임시프트 서비스를 대체하였다.[4][better source needed]
