덴마크—미얀마 관계는 미얀마와 덴마크 사이의 현재와 역사적 관계를 가리킨다. 어느 나라도 주재 대사관이 없다. 미얀마는 영국 주재 대사관을 통해 덴마크에서,[1][2] 덴마크는 태국 주재 대사관을 통해 미얀마에서 대표된다. 1955년에 외교 관계가 수립되었다.[3] 양국 관계는 우호적이다.[3] 덴마크는 유럽연합(EU) 국가 중 미얀마와 교역량이 가장 적다.[4] 덴마크는 또한 노르웨이에 본부를 둔 라디오 방송국인 버마의 민주적 목소리를 지원한다.[5]

미얀마 지원

미얀마에 대한 개발 원조는 동남아시아에서의 DANIDA 참여의 최우선 과제다. 9천 3백만 DKK가 교육 및 의료 프로젝트에 제공되었다.[6]

덴마크의 개발 원조는 민주주의와 인권을 증진하는 데 초점을 맞춰왔다. 덴마크는 사이클론 나르기스에 가장 먼저 대응한 국가 중 하나로 버마에 인도주의적 원조를 제공했다.[7] 2006년에 3대 질병 펀드가 설립되었고, 덴마크는 2009년에 가입했다.[8] 3대 질병 펀드는 미얀마가 HIV와 에이즈 퇴치를 돕고 7천3백만 달러를 지원했다.[9]

버마 영사 사건

1996년 덴마크 주재 미얀마 영사 제임스 레안더 니콜스가 징역 3년을 선고받았다. 이 판결은 팩시밀리 기계 두 대와 전화 교환기를 불법으로 소지한 것에 대한 것이었다. 두 달 후, 그는 감옥에서 죽었다. 덴마크의 주장에도 불구하고, 버마 당국은 독립적인 부검을 허락하지 않았다.[10] 곧이어 유럽연합(EU)이 캐나다와 함께 민주화 과정에 대한 유엔의 모집을 요구했다.[11][12]

일용일

2010년 11월 3일, 덴마크의 140개 체육관과 단처치애이드의 학생들이 매년 Day's Work Day에 참가하였다. 학생들이 번 돈은 미얀마의 젊은이들을 위한 교육을 향상시키기 위해 사용된다.[13]
