CSI: 다크 모티브는 CSI: 범죄 현장 조사 텔레비전 시리즈에 기반을 둔 컴퓨터 게임이다.이 게임은 유비소프트가 발행한 레디컬 엔터테인먼트(369 Interactive label 이하)가 개발한 것으로 2004년 PC용으로 출시됐다.2007년 11월에 파워헤드게임즈가 리메이크하여 유비소프트에 의해 출판되어 닌텐도 DS용으로 발매되었다.마이크로소프트 Xbox 버전의 CSI: Crime Scene Investigation에도 이 게임에 등장하는 사례가 포함되어 있다.

미국에서는 2006년 8월까지 PC 버전이 10만~25만부 정도 팔렸으나, 전임자인 CSI:범죄 현장 조사(CSI: Crime Scene Investigation)에 의해 완판되었다.[17]엔터테인먼트레저소프트웨어퍼블리셔협회(ELSPA)로부터도 '실버' 판매상을 수상해 영국 내 최소 10만부 판매고를 기록했다.[18][19]2006년 8월까지 CSI 게임 프랜차이즈의 컴퓨터 버전 판매 합계는 미국에서만 25만 대에 달했다.[17]4차 엔트리 발표 당시인 그해 12월까지 전 플랫폼에서 전 세계 판매량은 약 240만부였다.[20]
