팀 루비콘은 재난대응 전문 국제비정부기구(NGO)이다.

역사

팀 루비콘은 아이티 지진에 이어 2010년 1월 윌리엄 맥널티와 제이콥 '제이크' 우드가[1][2] 지진 발생 사흘 뒤 포르토프랭스로 의료진을 이끌면서 결성됐다.첫번째 팀 루비콘은 초기 8명의 팀이었다.그들은 친구들과 가족들로부터 자금과 의료용품을 모아 도미니카 공화국으로 날아갔다.그들은 트럭을 빌려 장비를 싣고 서쪽으로 아이티로 향했다.그 팀은 다른 구호 단체들에 의해 "너무 위험하다"고 여겨지는 수용소를 여행하면서 수천 명의 환자들을 치료했다.그들은 전통적인 재난 대응 규모에서 벗어나, 간과되고, 처리되지 않는 사람들을 중심으로 모험을 했다.[3][4]
