스리니바스 바드라바티 벤카타(Srinivas Bhadravathi Venkata)는 카르나타카 시모가 지구 출신의 인도 정치인이다.[1] 그는 현재 인도 청년회의의 국가 주석이다.[2] 19세 이하와 16세 이하 카르나타카 크리켓 팀에서 뛰었던 크리켓 선수였다.[3] 그는 델리에서 COVID-19 대유행 당시 온라인 반응과 구호 활동으로 뉴스에 나왔다.[4]

정치 경력

비정치적인 중산층 가정에서 자란 Srinivas는 대학 시절 방갈로르 국립대학에서 NSUI의 일원으로 정치활동을 시작했다.[5] 후에 그는 지역 수준과 주 차원의 직위에 이어 인도 청년회의의 블록 대통령이 되었다.

그는 2010년 그와 함께 한 의회 노동자들이 카르나타카 해변의 확고한 우익 운동가인 프라모드 무탈릭에 항의하고 그의 얼굴에 발렌타인 데이 기념행사에 반대하는 무탈릭의 독설을 위한 검은 페인트를 칠하면서 유명해졌다.[6] 그는 이에 이어 카르나타카 프라데시 의회 위원회의 징계를 받게 됐다. 그러나 2010년 10월 그는 라훌 간디로부터 '최고의 청년 의회 노동자상'을 받았다.[7]

그는 2018년 IYC 국가장관직에 이어 IYC 국가총무장관, IYC 부총재까지 역임했다. 2019년 7월, 롯 사바 선거 후 케샤프 찬드 야다브가 이 직책을 사임하자 인도 청년회의 회장으로 임명되었다.[8][9] 그의 지도하에 IYC는 나렌드라 모디의 생일인 9월 17일에 '전국 실업의 날'을 조직했다.[10][11][5]

코비드 릴리프

인도에서 COVID-19 대유행의 첫 번째 물결에서 그는 우타르 프라데시와 비하르에서 온 이주 노동자들이 슈라미크 특별 열차를 이용하여 귀국할 수 있도록 시설을 설치했다.[12][5]

2021년 5월 델리 경찰은 사재기를 주장하는 COVID-19 구호물품 유통에 대해 그를 심문했다.[18] 그러나 인도국민회의는 그를 지지하며 바라티야 자나타당이 어려움에 처한 사람들을 돕는 자들에 대한 정치적 복수를 촉발하고 있다고 비난했다.[19] 델리 고등법원에 앞서 델리 경찰이 제출한 보고서에서 그들은 스리니바스와 팀이 실제로 아무런 차별 없이 자발적으로 사람들을 돕고 있으며 자원봉사의 가석방 아래 블랙 마케팅은 일어나지 않고 있다고 말했다.[20]
