쿠니츠형 프로테아제 억제제 1은 SPINT1 [5]유전자에 의해 인체 내에서 부호화되는 효소이다.
이 유전자에 의해 코드된 단백질은 쿠니츠 계열의 세린 단백질 분해효소 억제제이다.단백질은 HGF 활성화제에 특화된 강력한 억제제이며 손상된 조직에서 HGF의 단백질 분해 활성화 조절에 관여하는 것으로 생각됩니다.대체 스플라이싱을 사용하면 여러 변형에서 서로 다른 Isoform을 [5]인코딩할 수 있습니다.
