마이오신 라이트 체인 6B는 인간에서 MYL6B 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질이다.[5][6][7]
미오신은 헥사메리카 ATPase 세포모터 단백질이다. 무거운 체인 2개, 비인산성 알칼리 라이트 체인 2개, 인산성 규제 라이트 체인 2개로 구성된다. 이 유전자는 느린 트위치 골격근과 비근육 조직으로 표현된 미오신 알칼리 빛 사슬을 인코딩한다.[7]
