칼리크레인(Kallikreins)은 다양한 생리 기능을 가진 세린 단백질 분해 효소의 하위 그룹이다.늘어나는 증거는 많은 칼리크레인들이 발암에 관여하고 있고 일부는 새로운 암과 다른 질병 바이오마커로 잠재되어 있다는 것을 암시한다.이 유전자는 19번 염색체의 클러스터에 위치한 15개의 칼리크레인 아족 중 하나이다.이 유전자의 대체 스플라이싱은 2개의 전사 변이체가 서로 [9]다르게 발현되는 2개의 다른 아이소폼을 코드하는 결과를 낳는다.
