호손상(Hawthorned Prize)은 호손에서 태어난 [1]앨리스 워렌더(Alice Warrender)가 1919년 제정한 영국의 문학상이다.[2] 41세[3] 미만의 작가에게는 시와 산문으로 쓸 수 있는 '상상 문학'의 질에 대한 상이 수여된다.[4] 호손 위원회는 지난 12개월 동안 출판된 작품에 대해 매년 상을 수여한다. 수령자가 없는 기간(1945-57, 1959, 1966, 1971–73, 1984–87)은 여러 해 동안 있었다.[5]

다른 주요 문학상과는 달리, Hawthornden은 출품 요청을 하지 않는다. 또한 문학, 환영 소설, 여행 글, 예술적, 역사적 작품에 대한 보도에서도 보편적이다.[6]

호손상(Hawthorned Prize)은 제임스 타이트 블랙 메모리얼 상과 함께 영국에서 가장 오래된 문학상이다.[7] 화폐적으로는, 1936년에 100파운드를 제안했고, 1995년에는 2000파운드의 가치가 있었고, 2017년에는 15,000파운드로 증가했다.[8][9][2] 워렌더가 설립한 호손든 트러스트(Hawthornden Trust)에 의해 관리되며,[10] 드루 하인즈(Drue Hinz)의 개인 신탁이 후원한다.[2]
