조눌라 오크러덴스-1(Zonula accludens-1)-1(Tight juntion prote-1이라고 도 함)은 220kD의 말초막 단백질 로, 인간의 TJP1 유전자 에 의해 암호화된다.[5] 촘촘한 접합 관련 단백질 인 조눌라 오크러덴스단백질(ZO-1, ZO-2, ZO-3) 계열에 속하며, 이 중 가장 먼저 복제된 것이 ZO-1이다. 1986년 스티븐슨과 구데노우에 의해 설치류 간에서 배양된 단클로날 항체를 사용하여 전체 간 균질체에서 225-kD 폴리펩타이드 분율을 인지하고 접합부가 풍부한 막 분율에서 처음으로 격리되었다.[6] 지질빌라이어 내 섬유유형 구조인 TJ(Tight Junction, TJ) 가닥 단백질을 액틴 시토스켈레톤에 교차 연결하는 비계단백질 역할을 한다.[7]
함수 이 유전자는 세포간 결합의 세포질 막 표면에 위치한 단백질을 암호화한다. 암호화된 단백질은 세포-세포 접합에서의 신호 전달에 관여할 수 있다. 이 유전자에 대해 구별되는 ISO 양식을 인코딩하는 두 가지 대본 변형이 확인되었다.[8]
