칼쿨람탈룩은 인도 타밀나두 주 칸야쿠마리 지구의 탈룩이다. 탈룩의 본부는 칼쿨람 마을이다.1957년까지 칼쿨람 탈룩은 트라반코르 왕국과 그 후 트라반코르-코친 주(Travancore-Cochin State)의 일부를 구성했다. It was when the States were divided on linguistic basis that Kallkkulam, Thovalai, Vilavancode, and Agastheeswaram Taluks of the erstwhile Thiruvananthapuram District of the then Travancore-Cochin State were included in the then Madras State (later renamed as Tamil Nadu) as Kanyakumari District.

칼쿨람 탈룩은 트라반코르 왕국의 중요한 행정 구역이었다. Travancore State의 수도인 Padmanabhapuram은 칼쿨람 탈루크에 위치해 있다. 트라반코르 왕국(당시 베네드 왕국)의 마하라자 마르탄다 베르마(Maharaja Marthanda Verma)가 왕위에 도전한 네어 봉건 영주 에투베틸 필라마(Etttuvetil Filamar) 8명을 처형한 것은 칼쿨람에서였다.

인구통계학

2011년 인구조사에 따르면 칼쿨람의 탈룩 인구는 60만3918명으로 남자 30만3913명, 여자 30만5명이다. 남자 1000명당 987명의 여자가 있었다. 탈룩의 식자율은 84.77이었다. 6세 이하의 아동 인구는 남성 24,542명, 여성 23,696명이었다.[1]
