Jagdgeschwader 4(JG 4)는 제2차 세계대전의 루프트와페 전투비행단이었다.

슈투르그루펜 1944년

Jagdgeschwader 4는 Sturmgrupe로 지정된 전문 '폭탄-킬러' 그루펜을 운용하는 3개의 Luftwaffe Geschwader 중 하나가 되었다.II./JG 4 Sturmgrupe는 I./Zerstörergeschwader 1 (ZG 1)의 살즈웨델과 한스-귄터 폰 코르나츠키 소령의 Sturmstaffel 1의 요소로부터 1944년 7월 12일에 형성되었다.그럽에는 개조되고 무겁게 장갑한 FW 190A-8/R2가 장착되었다.중무장한 전투기는 USAF의 중폭격기에 대해 효과가 있는 것으로 증명되었지만, 그들은 수많은 호위무사들에게 취약하다는 것이 증명되어 큰 손실을 입었다.

III./JG 4도 1944년 7월 로텐부르크에서 III./ZG 1로부터 형성되었다.

1944년 9월 11일.(Sturm)/JG 4는 III의 호위를 받는다.그루페는 켐니츠 근처에서 USAF 폭격 공격을 가로챘다.게슈와이더는 100번째와 95번째 폭탄 그룹을 공격하면서 13명의 폭격기들이 파괴되었다고 주장했다.339·55전투그룹 JG 4에 의해 요격당한 JG 4는 중태에 빠졌고, 임무 수행 중 조종사 21명이 사망하고 9명이 중상을 입었다.

1944년 10월 IV./JG 4는 메서슈미트 Bf-109G와 K를 장착한 핀스터왈데의 II./JG 5의 요소로 형성되었다.

11월 2일 스터르그루페는 IV./JG 3와 함께 라이프치히 지역에서 미국의 폭격기 형성을 가로챘다.II./JG 4는 457 폭탄 그룹을 공격하여 B-17 9대를 파괴했는데, 비록 그루프는 대규모로 동원된 미국 전투기 호위대에 투입된 22대 중 16대의 FW-190을 잃었다.

파일럿 3./JG 4인 휴고 보스 기념비는 1944년 12월 3일 장거리 하이킹 코스인 에이펠스틱의 케르펜 근처에서 전사했다.

1944년 11월부터 프랑크푸르트에서 작전 중인 게슈와이더는 연합군의 공세에 맞서 비행 중 큰 손실을 입었다.II를 제외하고.(Sturm)/JG 300, 중손실은 스터르mgrupen이 1944년 11월말까지 사실상 존재하지 않게 됨을 의미했고, 1944년 12월 바벤하우젠으로 이양되면서 II./JG 4의 잔당들은 남은 기간 동안 그들의 자매 부대와 같은 전투기와 지상 공격 작전을 수행하게 되며, 또 다른 중폭격기를 주장하지 않을 것이다.[1]1945년 2월 초에.그루페는 포케 울프 Fw-190A-9 이상 D-9 전투기를 재장착했다.

1945년 1월 1일 보덴플라테 작전 중 JG 4는 다른 모든 부대들과 함께 다시 큰 손실을 입었다.Le Culot 비행장에 대한 공격을 포함하여 75대의 JG 4 항공기가 다양한 표적을 담당하면서, I, II 및 IV gruppen은 중공기 화재를 맞았고 대량 편성이 분산되어 12대의 항공기만이 의도된 목적을 찾거나 공격하여 효과적인 공격을 조정하기가 불가능했다.전체적으로는 전투기 26대가 소실되고 6대가 파손됐으며 참가 항공기의 절반 가까이가 소실돼 JG 4가 작전에 참여한 전체 기종 중 가장 높은 비율의 손실을 입었다.[2]

1945년 1월 말 JG 4는 5월 전쟁이 끝날 때까지 구벤-쥐터보그에 배치되었다.

1945년 1월 21일 JG 4의 4그루펜을 동부전선의 루프트롯 6으로 교체하고 도매를 지상공격 임무로 전환했는데, 이 임무에는 부대가 장비도 제대로 갖추지 못했고 조종사도 훈련되지 않았다.1945년 2월 초까지.(Sturm)/JG 4는 코트부스를 방어하는 게르하르트 슈뢰더 소령 휘하의 뉴하우젠에 위치해 있었다.

거의 400대의 차량이 파괴되었다고 주장되었지만, 한 달 동안의 손실은 불가피하게 부대를 약화시켰고, 약 57대의 항공기가 분실되었고, 조종사 26명이 죽거나 실종되고 14명이 부상당했다.[3]

I./JG 4는 1945년 3월에 해체되었고 보병대로 부대 인력의 재집합이 이루어졌다.JG 4의 원소들은 소련군과 공군을 상대로 베를린을 중심으로 마지막 출격작전을 펼쳤고 1945년 4월 말 이 부대는 슐레스비히홀슈타인 지역으로 철수하고 1945년 5월 8일 해산했다.

휘장

엔진에 전시된 일부 JG 4 항공기가 게슈와더자이첸을 위협하고 있는데, 붉은색(빨간색) 플럼이 달린 회색 또는 은색 기사의 헬멧을 쓴 푸른색 에스쿠트천이다.

이 휘장은 II에 의해 처음 사용되었다.그루프, 그러나 후에 다른 JG 4 그루펜 항공기에도 등장했다.
