BAG 패밀리 분자 샤페론 조절기 2는 BAG2 [5] [6] 유전자에 의해 인체 내에서 부호화되는 단백질 이다.
BAG 단백질은 Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase 도메인에 결합하기 위해 Hip과 경쟁하고 기질 방출을 촉진합니다. 모든 BAG 단백질은 C 말단 부근에 약 45-아미노산 BAG 도메인 을 가지지만 N 말단 영역에서는 현저하게 다르다. 예측된 BAG2 단백질은 211개의 아미노산을 함유하고 있다. BAG1, BAG2, BAG3의 BAG 도메인은 체외 및 포유류 세포에서 Hsc70 ATPase 도메인과 특이하게 상호작용한다. 3가지 단백질 모두 Hsc70의 ATP효소 도메인에 높은 친화력으로 결합하고 Hip-repressible 방식으로 [6] Hsc70의 샤페론 활성을 억제한다.
