Alison E Ashcroft는 영국의 화학자 겸 Leeds 대학의 생체분자 질량분석학 명예교수다.[1][self-published source?] 그녀의 연구는 질병과 관련하여 단백질 접힘과 단백질 집적을 연구하기 위한 질량 분광법의 방법 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있다.
경력
애쉬크로프트는 1977년 리버풀 대학에서 BSC를 취득한 뒤 글락소 그룹 리서치의 화학자로 1년 만에 맨체스터 대학에서 MSc(1979년)와 박사학위(1981)를 취득했다. 다음으로 애쉬크로프트는 스위스 제네바대학(1981~1982)에서 박사후 연구원으로 활동하다가 맨체스터의 크라토스 분석(1983~1988)에 입사했다. 그 후 ICI 제약회사(1988-1990)에 이어 마이크로매스 UK 주식회사(1991-1997)로 옮겨간 뒤 리즈 대학교(1997-)에 입학했다. 2009년 생체분자질량분석학 교수로 승진, 2019년 명예교수로 부임했다.[1]
Ashcroft received the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Ron Hites Award for “Outstanding Research Publication in JASMS” (2009), the Harold Edwin Potts Alumni Medal Award for “Outstanding Contribution to Chemistry” from the University of Liverpool (2014), the Royal Society of Chemistry's Rita and John Cornforth Award, shared with Professor Sheena Radford, for "Integrating analyses of protein assembly mechanisms" (2015), the British Mass Spectrometry Society (BMSS) Medal for "outstanding and sustained contributions to the BMSS" (2019), and the International Mass Spectrometry Foundation (IMSF) Thomson Medal for "outstanding achievements in mass spectrometry and distinguished services 국제 집단 분광학회에" (1998년)[1][2][3]
