존 H. 비욘 FRS[1](John H. Beynon FRS, 1923년 12월 29일 – 2015년 8월 24일)는 대량 분광학 연구로 유명한 웨일스의 화학자 겸 물리학자였다.[2][3]

교육 및 병역

비욘은 웨일스 석탄 채굴 도시인 이스탈리페라에서 태어났으며 두 형제 중 연장자였다.그는 제2차 세계대전이 시작된 1940년대 초 스완지 웨일즈 대학교(현 스완지 대학교)에 진학했다.[4][5][6] 그는 1943년에 물리학에서 B.S를 받았다.그는 대학원에 다니지 않고 대신 1943년에서 1947년 사이에 탱크 화재 통제 시스템을 개발하는 전투 차량 연구소에 들어가기로 결정했다.[7][8]
