아에토사우루스(Aetosauroides, "Aetosaurus"라는 뜻)는 남아메리카 트라이아스기 후기에 살았던 멸종된 공룡의 속이다.그것은 남미에서 알려진 네 개의 공룡 중 하나이며, 다른 공룡은 네오에토사우로이데스, 칠레노수쿠스, 아이토바르바키노이데스이다.세 종의 이름이 붙여졌다: A. scagliai, A. subsulcatus, A. inhamandensis.화석은 아르헨티나 북서부 이스치구알라스토-빌라 유니온 분지에 있는 이스치구알라스토 층의 칸차 데 보카스 층과 브라질 남동부 파라나 분지에 있는 산타 마리아 층에서 발견되었다.지층은 카르니아 후기, 노리아 초기 단계까지 거슬러 올라가며, 아이토사우로이데스는 가장 오래된 공룡 [1]중 하나입니다.
묘사

줄리아 B가 제시한 계통학적 분석.2012년 데소호, 마틴 D. 에즈쿠라, 에디오 E. 키슈라트는 Aetosauroides가 Stagonolepiddae 밖에 있다는 것을 발견했다.만약 이 계통 발생이 맞다면 스타곤올레피디스과와 아에토사우루이데스는 동등한 집단을 이루지 못할 것이며, 아에토사우루이데스는 최초의 비스타곤올레피디스과 [1]아에토사우루스가 될 것이다.
